Moonlight exposures

I attempted some moonlight exposures inspired by Alejandro Chaskielberg. The image below was taken using Kodak Slide film and cross proccessed, the second image is digital. In both images the subject was illuminated by torch light. In the first Image the subject lit herself, and in the second image i lit her from behind the camera.

The Hangover

Shot and Edited on Sat afternoon to test out the live view function on our new Nikon D3100. The image quality is incredible compared to using miniDv cameras of the same price range. You don't have loads of functions but just shooting through such a good quality lens is very satisfying.

Polaroid @ work

A couple of quick portraits at work. Today was children in need, so Deb decided to come to work in her PJ's. Sadly she was the only one which made her look like a cross between a bewildered mental patient and a sad clown.

Testing out my new Polaroid Land 330 by taking a few snaps of Sam the domestic goddess hard at work in the kitchen. We had Lamb steaks with potatoes and veg.

The Appliance of Science

We set up a fake scientists laboratory at the college complete with eerie music and creepy lighting. The project set for the students was called "The Appliance of Science" and this installation was intended to get their creativity flowing. We had different coloured liquids transfering from one container to another, mixing into different colours as they went, as well as pumps to get the liquids bubbling. We even set up a wall of interactive oscilloscopes.

Classic Bike Magazine

Phil Taylor (above) brought in his old battered MZ as inspiration to the students during their upcoming "transport" project. I managed to steal a few shots with my pentax and wide angle lens.

Caribbean Carnival

I went down to the Caribbean carnival but only managed a couple of good shots from a whole roll of slide film. Some we're over exposed due to the cross- process, the rest were simply blurred due to all the movement and my error. The boy above was the star of the show...he lead the parade and performed like a pro. The crowd loved him.
